Pittenweem Holiday House

pittenweem seagulls at the harbour

If relaxation is one of the pastimes you are looking for welcome to our Pittenweem Holiday Home, or you might equally be keen to explore one of the many stunning golf courses on your doorstep. Why not spend a romantic night or two and enjoy a leisurely walk along the Fife Coastal Path. Enjoy the chilled bottle of Chablis and shortbread provided with our compliments.

Nestled quietly up one of the 6 Wynds in Pittenweem that lead from the bustling High Street to the picturesque seafront and famous harbour. 8 Bruces Wynd is a sunny, beautifully presented self catering apartment which comfortably sleeps 4. Decorated in neutral Farrow & Ball colours it is a contemporary and bright space. Located in a small, south facing courtyard, you are a few steps from a seaview and 200 yds from making sandcastles on the beach!

The apartment is owned and run by Physiotherapist Stuart Barton, his wife and artist Jo Macfarlane, and their wee boy Archie, professional sandcastle builder.

The name 'Pittenweem' derives from the Pictish & Scottish Gaelic, 'Pit'-Pictish (Pett) meaning 'place' and 'enweem' -Gaelic (nah uaimh) 'of the caves'. St Fillans cave is situated on Cove Wynd.

The red roofs illustrate the classic East Neuk building style. Influenced by trade with the low countries (Belgium and the Netherlands) the East Neuk offered trading ports & the ships brought the red pantiles as balast.

If you have any special requirements we will endeavor to honour them, please do not hesitate to contact us during your stay, thank you for taking the time to visit our site.
